Lyrics "Cream - Tales of Brave Ulysses". You thought the leaden winter would bring you down forever, But you rode upon a steamer to the violence of the sun. And the colors of the sea blind your eyes with trembling mermaids, And you touch the distant beaches with tales of brave Ulysses: How his naked ears were tortured by the sirens sweetly singing, For the sparkling waves are calling you to kiss their white laced lips. And you see a girl's brown body dancing through the turquoise, And her footprints make you follow where the sky loves the sea.

Letra TALES OF BRAVE ULYSSES (y vídeo musical): You thought the leaden winter, Would bring you down forever, But you rode upon a steamer, To the violence of the sun And the colors of the sea, Blind your eyes with trembling mermaids, And you touch the distant beaches, With tales of brave Ulysses How hi. .Her name is Aphrodite And she rides a crimson shell You know you cannot leave her For you touched the distant sands. With tales of brave Ulysses How his naked ears were tortured By the sirens sweetly singing Yeah. The tiny purple fishes Run laughing through your fingers You want to take her with you To the hard land of the winter. Compartir la letra 'Tales Of Brave Ulysses'. X. Más Canciones de Cream. Tales Of Brave Ulysses Songfacts. Manuela from Eisenhüttenstadt, GermanyI think this song is about a man who regards himself as a kind of drifter (Ulysses drifted through the sea - he could not find his way home because Aphrodite had punished him this way) who fell in love with a girl looking like Aphrodite (look at Boticelli's Aphrodite with the shell)and he thinks that having sex with. her would never get out of his head again (carving deep blue ripples in the tissues of your mind).

One of a few overtly psychedelic songs to have aged gracefully, "Tales of Brave Ulysses" is indeed a Cream classic. Based on a simple but effective C/B flat/F chord pattern (which was later utilized for "White Room"), the song has a powerful, unrelenting mid-tempo groove that defined Cream's finest songs of the period. Lyrically, it's a relatively factual and colorful rendering of the great Greek tragedy Ulysses. Taking a classic tale like this to the psychedelic audience was a stroke of genius, and this song is indeed one of the band's most lasting efforts.
