Stay Awake: Various Interpretations of Music from Vintage Disney Films is a 1988 tribute album recorded by various artists performing songs from Disney films. It was produced by Hal Willner, one of the many tribute albums he has done. The NME ranked it at number 37 in their list of the best albums of 1988. The album cover features artwork by Rodney Greenblat.

Consequently, different people have wildly different perspectives on Disney's work, and producer Hal Wilner, a man who joyously revels in diverse perspectives, made the most of that on Stay Awake, in which 21 songs from classic Disney films are reinterpreted - sometimes faithfully, sometimes radically - by a startling array of artists brought together by Wilner.

Various ‎– Stay Awake (Various Interpretations Of Music From Vintage Disney Films). Genre: Jazz, Rock, Pop, Stage & Screen.

Stay Awake" from Mary Poppins. b). "Little Wooden Head" from Pinocchio. Bill Frisell and Wayne Horvitz.

Only 17 left in stock (more on the way). Hal Willner gathers his various forces and minions and applies their considerable talents to some of the 20th Century's greatest music. While Mingus is primarily considered a jazz artist, this label applied by others to the artist in question does little, if anything, to proscribe Willner's approach to the composer's works.
