In places, his washes of black and gray noise are abruptly stopped by echoing hiccups or blasts or distortion. These nine tracks blend into one another, becoming darker and darker, making a fine moody soundscape and something close to ambient.

Mora
Before being sent this album I had only ever heard one track of DAVID MYERS' "Multiprocessor Feedback" music, and that was on the excellent "EXPERIMENTAL MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS" album. The various reviews of the album "Fetish" had whetted my appetite, praising it to the skies, and if it's anything like this, it damn well deserves it! Although the album is actually one long track, "Also Sprach Zarathustra" is divided into nine distinctive tracks. The first side opens with the aptly-named "Descent" which is like huge grey chunks of permafrost falling through the eternal night skies. "A Rope Between" glitters and glimmers as if a kaleidoscope projecting it's delicate, ephemeral jewels onto a white-washed wall. "Written With Blood" is a lot darker, boiling away like some amino alphabet soup, trying to form the right combination. It's a lot bassier than the other, and while not being exactly Evil, is not benign in it's sound either. More harsh sounds penetrate the sound, sharper than blades. "The Meaning Of The Earth" takes you back to a time when great volcanic eruptions crashed beneath the Earth, spewing molten lava across the delicate mantle of much abused rock. Thunder and lightning smash against the land, sending reverberating soundwaves across the forming surface, This music evokes stark images within the mind's eye. Next comes "Before Sunrise", the tones growing into a golden-sun-on-naked-skin warmth, gradually increasing in brightness, lazily pulling itself into shape. "Self-Becoming" gives me images of hot water spraying in a misty miasma onto clean white ceramics. It lulls you with it's metallic beauty. "Spirit Of Becoming" flies quickly up into the stratosphere, then describes gentle curves at the edge of the Great Void before plummetting down once more to reality, gravity, terra firma. "For I Love Thee, O Eternity" is another sustained piece of music, as if the soundwaves from violins were frozen upon the air, caught like flies in amber, dust motes in unopened rooms, moving only very gradually. The album draws to a close with the dark and machine-like "Midnight..." again like one sustained moment, drawn out like a black pall in an old oil painting. It's a wonderful little album, well worth buying. To compare it to anyone, I'd say it's a little like some of the more subtle stuff on the VANGELIS soundtrack to "Blade Runner", with elements of car advert soundtracks - that great mood stuff you hear but cannot find in shops. This should sustain you if, like me, you hunger for such ware! Inside the cardboard wallet which acts as the disc's cover is a large and intensely-coloured posted titled after this album, of clouds scudding across a dramatic sky - a perfect visual description of the music within.
