Go Now" is a song composed by Larry Banks and Milton Bennett. It was first recorded in January 1964 by Bessie Banks, and later became associated with The Moody Blues. The song was first recorded by Larry Banks's former wife, Bessie Banks. A 1962 demo recording by Bessie of the song was heard by songwriters and record producers Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, who re-recorded it in late 1963, with arrangement by Gary Sherman and backing vocals from Dee Dee Warwick and Cissy Houston.

December is the sixteenth and final album by The Moody Blues. The Christmas themed album released in 2003 is their first album since The Magnificent Moodies to feature covers in addition to original material. It is also their first album following Ray Thomas' retirement from the band. Don't Need a Reindeer" (Justin Hayward) – 3:59. December Snow" (Hayward) – 5:11. In the Quiet of Christmas Morning (Bach 147)" (Bach, Hayward, John Lodge) – 2:51. On This Christmas Day" (Lodge) – 3:40.

Before The Moody Blues recorded it, this was an obscure soul single for Bessie Banks, who released it in 1964. Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller produced her recording, and it was written by her husband Larry Banks. It is a heart-rending song where the singer has just broken up with his lover, and can't bear to see her anymore. This was The Moody Blues' second single, the first being the unsuccessful "Lose Your Money. Denny Cordell produced the album 'The Magnificent Moodies'. And Justin Hayward did not perform 'Go Now', he came after that in the second Moody Blues. Camille from Toronto, OhNever heard the Bessie Banks version, but will have to look it up as so many of you are impressed with it. Camille from Toronto, OhFirst of all, I'm floored to learn that this song, which I have loved since 1965 when I was only about 8 years old, is sung by the Moody Blues!

THE MOODY BLUES are no match for THE STONES, THE KINKS or The Who - they mean well, and menacing they're not - but attempts to "dirty up" their delivery on cuts like "Lose Your Money" and "I Don't Mind" give them more cachet than, say, HERMAN's Hermits. Anyway the album is listenable with fair songs that amuse the listener. Band members show an average musicianship but production is weak what is surprising since other British invaders were receiving a VIP treatment at that time (1965). Title-song (in fact a cover) is interesting and the tracks 'Let me go' and 'From the bottom of my heart' show some moments that remembers later MB's songs (a future passed?).

Anthology (The Moody Blues album). Anthology is a compilation album by the progressive rock band The Moody Blues. It was released on 20 October 1998 and nearly spans the band's entire career from 1965 to 1991. All songs written by Justin Hayward and performed by The Moody Blues, except where noted. Go Now" (Larry Banks, Milton Bennett) – 3:10. Tuesday Afternoon (Forever Afternoon)" – 4:48.
