John Peel spotted Nirvana early - the band recorded three Peel Sessions in 1989, 1990 and 1991. Nirvana did a few sessions at Maida Vale. I think I did their last one, which was still relatively early in their career. Jeff Smith phoned me and said 'you've got a really hot one this week - Nirvana', and to be honest I hadn't really heard of them. The session went well, and I thought they were good.

In 1997 the Guardian asked John Peel to list his top 20 albums. Though he freely regarded these kinds of lists as "terribly self-indulgent" - and may well have chosen a completely different 20 if you'd asked him a week later - he was nonetheless happy to oblige. Nirvana recorded their first session with Peel in October 1989, and went on to record two more. Peel broadcast all three consecutively in 1994 after Kurt Cobain's death. 16. She recorded many sessions for the programme and was one of the few artists to have broadcast live from Peel Acres.

The sticker labeled John Peel Two has the songs found on Side A and B; "Turnaround," Molly's Lips," and "D7," all from the 1990. To confuse the situation even more, songs titles listed on the vinyl labels are slightly different than the tracklists on the sleeves. It was recorded over two sessions at Maida Vale 4: on 18 July 2001 (tracks 1-6) and 5 February 2004 (tracks 7-11; broadcast on 11 March 2004). It showcases tracks from their first three albums, the song "Titanic" from their first single ("Titanic/To You", double A-side) and "This House Is Haunted", which was previously released as the B-side of the "Life in a Day" single. The song "Coincidence" is included here in the previously unbroadcast version, untitled at the time of recording.

When held to the light both are brown. Agree?

Mine are both brown, but sides C/D is translucent only when held up to the light. I thought it was on standard black, up until I read your comment.
