David Bowie broke away from the mainstream pop of Tonight with 1987's Never Let Me Down, turning out a jumbled mix of loud guitar rockers and art rock experiments like the failed "Glass Spider. While it's not as consistent as Tonight, it's far more interesting, with the John Lennon homage of the title track being one of his most underrated songs.

Time Will Crawl" is a song recorded by English singer David Bowie, serving as the second single for his seventeenth album, Never Let Me Down (1987). It was written by Bowie and produced by him and David Richards. Released in 1987 by EMI, the recording addresses the destruction of the planet by pollution and industry; the Chernobyl disaster was a direct influence on the lyrics. The accompanying video served as a teaser to Bowie's Glass Spider Tour (1987).
Parlophone Records are proud to announce David Bowie Loving The Alien (1983 – 1988), the fourth in a series of box sets spanning his career from 1969. There’s been a new David Bowie album out this month. That’s a strange sentence to type, knowing that the man himself passed away more than two years ago, but it’s true: Never Let Me Down ’18 released on October 12th as part of a new compilation by Parlophone Records. It’s not a new album in the conventional sense; there are no songs on this one that haven’t been heard before. In fact, it’s a track-for-track re-release of Bowie’s 1987 album Never Let Me Down – an album that Bowie himself called his nadir and an awful album. Why all the fuss then? Well, this is no simple remaster; the album.
Never Let Me Down' is the 17th studio album by David Bowie. Bowie conceived the album as the foundation for a theatrical world tour, writing and recording most of the songs in Switzerland. He considered the record a return to rock and roll music.
