Greatest Hits is a compilation album by the band Blood, Sweat & Tears, initially released in 1972. Although Blood, Sweat & Tears continued to record and tour for several more years, the band's lineup changed dramatically after Blood, Sweat & Tears 4. This compilation album includes all of the group's best-known material up to that time. This was the group's last album to earn a Gold Record award.

At that point, Blood, Sweat & Tears had released four albums and scored six Top 40 hits, each of which is heard here. But lead singer David Clayton-Thomas had just quit the group, so that the unit that recorded songs like "You've Made Me So Very Happy" was not working together anymore. And even when Clayton-Thomas returned, the band would continue to decline commercially

Blood, Sweat And Tears. Album, 1968, Columbia Records. 1. Variations on a Theme By Erik Satie (1st and 2nd Movements). 3. Sometimes in Winter.

Everyone who remembers that album also remembers that it was loaded with songs that all went on to become top 40 hits that all received a lot of airplay in clubs as well as on the radio. All those hits are included on this album including Al Kooper's, I Can't Quit Her. Al quit BS&T and was replaced by David Clayton Thomas who was featured on the mega hot album that I already mentioned. In addition this album features lesser known but high quality tracks. This is a Columia Legacy album as well.
