Composer(s) Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Artist(s) Sir Charles Mackerras Scottish Chamber Orchestra. Symphony No. 31 in D major (Paris), K. 297 - II. Andantino. This recording includes both versions of the second movement of the 'Paris' Symphony; unusually Mackerras requested that the alternative version follows the original, rather than coming at the end of the album as an appendix.

11. 36 In C, KV 425 'Linz': 3. Menuetto. 12. 36 In, KV 425 'Linz': 4. Presto. Krips conducts Symphonies 21-41, or 6 discs worth: 50% of this set of Mozart Symphonies. The Concertgebouw Orchestra plays beautifully, as you would expect, and have the perfect sense of Mozart's style, served so well and warmly by Krips' conducting. Krips' Mozart deserves to stand with the other "greats" in the Mozart later symphonies

This is a list of symphonies by the classical composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Symphonies No. 2 (attributed to Leopold Mozart) and 3 (written by Carl Friedrich Abel) are spurious. Spurious symphonies can be found at Mozart symphonies of spurious or doubtful authenticity. Symphonies that are suspected to be not Mozart's, but have not been proven to be the work of another composer, are in this list.

Songs start at NIS . 0.

In between is the ebullient N. 1, the ‘Paris’, the formed N. 2 and the joyous ‘Haffner’, N. 5. Ever the pragmatist, Mozart made various revisions to most of these symphonies after their composition. Most notable is the replacement Andante written for N. 1 after the original proved unsuited to Parisian tastes. You can decide for yourself which you prefer – but be wary of simply playing the tracks in sequence or you will end up with a four-movement symphony with two slow movements, certainly not what Mozart intended
