For one, there’s a previously unreleased song Kicking Television, a catchy all out rock song that sounds like it was written for a live audience. I’m sure I’m not the only one who heard Nels Cline for the first time on this album, and then went on to discover his extensive body of work. Honestly, though, all you can say about this is that it’s a really, really good piece of music, maybe Wilco’s best. And for a live album, that’s saying something.

Wilco's known for how well the recreate their studio sound onstage, with the same complexity, effects, etc. The mix of mellow and high energy songs are all complemented by the inimitable playing of Nels Cline, an indie jazz guitarist. The band is incredibly tight and together, feeling eachothers dynamics very well. Lyrics - 10 Jeff Tweedy's lyrics have always been beautifully written, personal, and generally complex. Guitar is more prominent in Kicking Television, and with more of an interesting fuzz tone. The version of "Misunderstood" from their 1996 album "Being There" is fantastic, and makes a great first song. When they do "At Least That's What You Said" from their latest studio album, "A Ghost Is Born," it's arguably better than the original, and the rendition of "Radio Cure" from "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" is remarkable.
