Special Forces, USA. special-ops. org/representative image. Also known as the Green Berets because of their characteristic service headgear as requested by President Kennedy in the 60s, their official motto is De oppresso liber (To Liberate the Oppressed), while their insignia bears an arrowhead with a saber and three lightning bolts. Having worked with SEALs many times, they are rumoured to have given special training ideas to the SEALs as well. The GROM force is estimated to have between 270 and 300 soldiers, and each has to pass a gruelling series of psychological and physical durability tests, as well as the "truth test". - Concept By, Compiled By [Playlist] – Mark Fisher
- DJ Mix [Execution] – Pontone
- Presenter – K-Punk
NotesThis mix was prompted by the fact that, in several recent pieces of writing about music, I found myself returning to Jon Hassell’s concept of “Fourth World Music” (music that combined elements from the so-called First and Third Worlds). The mix is an attempt to bring together these new approaches with the original take on Fourth World music conceived of by Hassell and Brian Eno.
