Iron Maiden is the debut studio album by the English heavy metal band Iron Maiden.
Iron Maiden was my first concert ever and the experience was so amazing I've been hooked ever since! Their set list for the O2 in London was based on their previous 'Seventh Tour Of A Seventh Tour' in '88, which featured heavily songs from their 7th album, 'Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son' but also many of their greatest hits and most famous songs to really engage the audience. They sounded absolutely incredible and there was so much energy from Iron Maiden which was impressive especially due to the age of the band and the members.
Iron Maiden are an institution. Iron Maiden closed their Maiden England world tour in July 2014 headlining at Sonisphere Festival, Knebworth, delighting the crowds by having The Great War Display Team featuring Bruce Dickinson among its pilots, stage a sensational aerial dogfight in the skies above the Festival with Bruce flying his very own WW1 German Fokker Dr1, just hours before taking to the stage. The ensuing Maiden show marked the final chapter in the band’s trilogy of tours performing their 80’s repertoire. With over 90 million album sales, more than 2000 live performances in 63 countries, tens of millions of fans and 16 studio albums of unerring quality and power to their name, Iron Maiden have more than earned their proudly-held status as one of the most influential and revered rock bands of all time.
1981 - Live At The Rainbow. 1983 - Live In Dortmund. 1985 - Live After Death. 1985 - Rock In Rio. 1986 - Somewhere on tour. 1988 - maiden england. 1992 - Live Donington.
Founded in Leyton in London's East End in 1975, Iron Maiden released their first album in 1980 as a five-piece with Paul Di'Anno on vocals. Bruce Dickinson would replace him in 1981. With several line-up changes Steve Harris would remain the only original member never to have had a hiatus. Rhythmic velocity, intense, wailing dual lead guitars, and vocals that soared in concert with the epic imagery of the lyrics made them the lords of Metal throughout the '80s. Weathering the '90s with several lineup changes, Maiden have come full circle (well, sort of) with the 1999 return of Dickinson.
Iron Maiden released 'Live After Death' on October 14, 1985. And then there was the music: all 100-plus, vinyl-busting minutes of it, comprised of 18 songs - many of them typically epic in nature and spanning the length and breadth of Iron Maiden’s still young, but already quasi-legendary career
Iron Maiden was founded in 1975 by Steve Harris in London. After that, they played as the opening act for Judas Pries t on their UK tour and for KISS on their US tour. At this time, their mascot Edward the Head, called Eddie, was born. Eddie is seen on almost every one of Iron Maiden’s album covers and is sometimes even integrated in their stage shows. Furthermore, with their following album and almost empty concert halls, Iron Maiden headed towards their all time low. The band and Blaze Bayley finally split amicably. In 1999, Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith surprisingly returned to Iron Maiden.
