Like Cattle Decap's previous works, The Anthropocene Extinction deals with the devastating effects mankind has brought to the environment. Nobody can explain the record better than frontman Travis Ryan, so here's a breakdown of the full record by the man himself: Manufactured Extinct: This was one of the later songs we wrote
Coming from just four musicians, it is incredible just how much the band manage to pack within the given lengths of their music, and since light-speed is their chosen tempo, The Anthropocene Extinction flies just as fast as ever, barring the quick breather on Ave Exitium.
Well, they did at least before the year 2012. But then, they released Monolith of Inhumanity, and it took the community by storm. It spread so far in part due to the controversial video for Forced Gender Reassignment, but also just in the album itself. It was praised for it’s virtuosic performance and near-flawless execution.
Labels: Metal Blade Records. Genres: Deathgrind Members: Travis Ryan, Josh Elmore, Derek Engemann, David McGraw, Phil Anselmo, Jürgen Bartsch.
Due on August 7 via Metal Blade, the CD was once again helmed by Dave Otero (ALLEGAEON, CEPHALIC CARNAGE), who worked on 2012's "Monolith Of Inhumanity". He's got a lot of great ideas and this time we heard him out pretty religiously because making 'Monolith' had worked out so well.
It was released on August seventh, 2015. The album primarily focuses upon the human race annihilating itself. The Anthropocene Extinction Q&A. Featuring Philip Anselmo. Producers Dave Otero. Writers Travis Ryan (Cattle Decap).
