Fallen Angel is the 12th studio album by British rock band Uriah Heep, released in September 1978 by Bronze Records in the UK and Chrysalis Records in the US. Fallen Angel only reached No. 186 in the US Billboard 200, but in Germany, the band were at the height of their popularity. On this album, the band moved toward an AOR sound, as opposed to the progressive rock of previous albums.

On Fallen Angel, Uriah Heep continued the push toward an AOR-friendly style that began with Innocent Victim. The resulting album is too poppy to please hardcore metal fans and too eccentric to fit the bill of an AOR record, but it still manages to be a surprisingly enjoyable listen

Fallen Angel is probably the most commercial album Heep did in the 70's. There are none of the familiar fantasy themed songs at all on this at all (only High and Mighty has that distinction for the 70's albums). All the songs are about love and relationships. the heep sound was lost badly on this album, ken hensley his song writing was at a low for me, there are some nice moments fallen angel is good song, all but for those drums, come back to me poppy enough to be a big hit, from then on its a hard lp cd to like, they did try hard to crack the. poppier market, a lot of fans disliked the lighter style, the fans that left the band at this time, a lot never returned shows the damage bad management can do, conquest that followed this was another mistake not musically, the singer was not of uriah heep style at all and sent the band into further turmoil.
