Le Bestiaire ou Cortège d'Orphée is a poetic album of 30 short poems by Guillaume Apollinaire with woodcuts by Raoul Dufy, published in 1911. Guillaume Apollinaire, was a bibliophile and a specialist in medieval bestiaries. In 1906 Picasso, a friend of Apollinaire's had made some experimental woodcuts of animals.

By Francis Poulenc (1899-1963). For Clarinet, Piano Accompaniment. Three Novelettes "(for Piano). By Francis Poulenc (1899-1963).

Francis Poulenc embraced the Dada movement's techniques, creating melodies that would have been appropriate for Parisian music halls. From 1918 to 1921 he served in the French army, and then began taking lessons in composition with Koechlin (1921-1924). An excellent pianist, Poulenc became in 1935 an accompanist to the French baritone Pierre Bernac, for whom he wrote numerous songs. Compared with his fortuitous comrades-in-six, Francis Poulenc appears a classicist.

Francis Jean Marcel Poulenc (January 7, 1899 - January 30, 1963) was a French composer and a member of the French Group Les Six. He was a Parisian by birth and death, and always preferred the city to the country. His mother, an amateur pianist, taught him to play, and music formed a part of family life.
