The Donny Osmond Album is the debut album by pop singer Donny Osmond. It was released in 1971 on MGM when Osmond was 13 years of age. It was produced by Rick Hall, who was also responsible for most of the arrangements. The album features one single, the Billy Sherrill-Rick Hall written lead-off track "Sweet & Innocent".

Donny Most" is a song performed in the episode "It Takes a Village Idiot, and I Married One" by a choir about the actor, as explained in the song, best known for his role as Ralph on Happy Days. Most voices himself for the one spoken line. The song is sung to the tune the title song from the musical Brigadoon by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe. Chorus: Donny Most, Donny Most, He was Ralph on Happy Days. Donny Most, Donny Most, Now he rises from the haze. Don Most: Actually, it's Don Most now.

Donny Hathaway is one of the most important black performers to emerge in recent years. Important in the sense that Isaac Hayes, Sly Stone, t or the Last Poets are important: influential (for better or worse), far-ranging and possessed of a unique, new style. Hathaway had already completed brilliant work as producer, arranger, composer, musician (choose one or any combination of the above) with Roberta Flack, Jerry Butler, Curtis Mayfield & the Impressions and others before releasing an album of his own late last year  . Still, it’s a cerebral discomfort and certainly a minor reservation about what is otherwise an exceptional, rich album. The majority of the material is borrowed but all of it is transformed by Hathaway’s warm, intense style.

Donny Hathaway was, however, the first to cover Russell’s composition and it became one of his most widely-known songs (at the time of this writing his rendition has just under 19 million listens on this site). The song is an emotional plea for forgiveness from a past lover, and Hathaway’s live performance of the song, four months after its release on the album, was described by one critic as transcendant. A Song for You" Track Info. Written By Leon Russell.

One year later Donny Osmond released is most recent album, " The Soundtrack of My Life.

The Donny Osmond Album is exactly what you would expect it to be, a collection of lightweight pop confections that may not play so mercilessly on the singer's age as brother Jimmy's solo career was destined to (probably because Donny's voice was so much better), but was a finely tuned commercial beast regardless
