The Worst of Jefferson Airplane is the first compilation album from the rock band Jefferson Airplane, released in November 1970 as RCA Victor LSP-4459. The album features all of Jefferson Airplane's hit singles up to that point. It peaked at on the Billboard 200 in 1971 and has since gone platinum. In 1970, the band underwent a period of inactivity because of internal personnel conflict and pursuit of individual projects

Its smirky title notwithstanding, The Worst of Jefferson Airplane provides a fine recap of the band's first six albums. Released in 1970 shortly before Marty Balin's initial departure from the band, the album marked not only the end of the decade but, unwittingly, the end of the group's most stable phase in terms of membership. The track selections are evenly divided among the first-generation albums; only the live Bless Its Pointed Little Head is represented by a single entry. Pains were also taken to include songs featuring lead vocalists Balin, Grace Slick, Paul Kantner, and.

Listening to Jefferson Airplane so many years later brought back so many memories of being with my best friends sitting around talking and enjoying their company. It was a different world then than now. We protested the Vietnam War, went to college, started our first jobs. The vinyl record and album cover reproduction will please any Airplane fan. I want to give a heads up about possible album cover damage that occurs during shipping which happened to me. This album does come in/with a poly cover and is not shrinked wrapped like other records which is fine except that it allows the vinyl record and the slick poly sleeve to slide around inside the album jacket during transport and delivery. This sliding/jerking back and forth eventually causes the record to start bursting through the album cover leaving a long white crack and split on top as was the first record.

Jefferson Airplane is the eighth and final studio album by San Francisco rock band Jefferson Airplane, released on Epic Records in 1989. Marty Balin, Paul Kantner, Grace Slick, Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady all returned for the album and supporting tour, though Spencer Dryden did not participate. The album and accompanying tour would mark the last time Jefferson Airplane would perform together until their 1996 induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

On the other hand, we have The Worst of Jefferson Airplane. Actually, as a greatest hits album, I guess it’s OK.

Jefferson Airplane, Bill Thompson, Maurice – album compilation. Bark is the sixth studio album by Jefferson Airplane. Released in 1971 as Grunt FTR-1001, the album is one of the Airplane's late-period works, notable for the group's first personnel changes since 1966. The album was the first without band founder Marty Balin (who departed the band during the recording process but without featuring in the sessions) and the first with violinist Papa John Creach. Drummer Spencer Dryden had been replaced by Joey Covington in early 1970 after a lengthy transitional period in which both musicians had performed with the band. Bark was the Airplane's.
