Album Bring Me Your Love. While I'm off chasing my own dreams Sailing around the world Please know that I'm yours to keep My beautiful girl. When you cry a piece of my heart dies Knowing that I may have been the cause If you were to leave Fulfill someone else's dreams I think I might totally be lost. The 10th song off of City and Colour’s widely popular and acclaimed album Bring Me Your Love. Dallas Green croons to the woman in his life, thanking her for everything she does and promising her to always care and love for her.

City and Colour is the recording alias for Canadian singer-songwriter Dallas Green, who is also the guitarist and vocalist of the St. Catharines, Ontario-based post-hardcore band Alexisonfire. He plays melodic acoustic/folk music, and is often accompanied by a rotating number of Canadian indie rock musicians, such as Daniel Romano and Spencer Burton of Attack in Black. The name City and Colour comes from his own name: Dallas, a city, and Green, a colour.

Green began recording as City and Colour in 2005, with Sometimes, followed by 2008’s Bring Me Your Love and 2011’s Little Hell, and has experienced huge success both on the charts and the road. All four previous studio albums have achieved platinum status in Canada, while Little Hell is also now Gold in Australia. The Hurry and the Harm debuted at in the USA on the Billboard chart, 1 on Canada’s Top 200 Chart and in Australia, as City and Colour's highest debut.

City and Colour, however, give me more faith. Dallas Green, perhaps better known for his antics in post-hardcore group Alexisonfire, charmed me (and many others in the process) with his 2005 release, Sometimes. The album was a touchingly soulful collection of personal musings wrapped in smooth-as-silk jazz guitar lines, and it worked. Bring Me Your Love is a fairly large departure from Sometimes in many clear areas. It’s also a fairly large disappointment. Inconsistent production values, along with some terrible musical choices, hamper an album brimming with potential.
