The discography of the American pop group the Carpenters consists of 12 studio albums, two Christmas albums, two live albums, 46 singles, and numerous compilation albums. The duo was made up of siblings Karen (lead vocals and drums) and Richard Carpenter (keyboards and vocals). The siblings started their musical career together in the latter half of the 1960s

Live at the Palladium is the second live album by American music duo Carpenters. Live at the Palladium

The other live album is the 2-disk "Live in Japan" (1974 A&M release). This is a delightful album and makes me wish I had seen the Carpenters perform live! They sing various long medleys of the songs from their career, with narration between by both Karen and Richard. The set sums up their careers in an entertaining fashion. It has been said that a hallmark of musical giftedness is how similar one's recorded sound is to a live performance. Live at the Palladium" brings you front row center for a performance by one of the greatest singers who ever lived. Listen to Karen's voice soar on this album! She fills the hall with her unique, flawless vocal presence, reminding us that her mellow "lows" are merely the foundation of a multi-octave range

Listen free to Carpenters – Live At The Palladium (Flat Baroque, There's A Kind Of Hush (All Over The World) and more). This album features some of Karen Carpenter's finest live performances, although they comprise only around 27 minutes of the 44 minute long album. Her performances were outstanding; very technically accomplished and refined, but she is more generally famed for the extraordinary beauty of her voice which is very evident on these renditions.
