DETAILS: Scherrie Payne is the younger sister of well known actress and singer Freda Payne and has been co lead singer with THE SUPREMES from 1973 to 1977. Quite a vita, one might say. But her 1987 solo album „Incredible sank without a trace, despite the high quality pop music included. 670 US$ is the highest price fetched for this gem that I saw and I thought it must be an amazing piece of music. digital album releases April 15, 2019. item ships out within 5 days.

About Scherrie Payne. b. 14 November 1944, Detroit, Michigan, USA. The sister of soul singer Freda Payne, Scherrie forsook her teaching position at Detroits Grayling Observatory to join the Glass House. This short-lived band enjoyed a series of minor US hits, the most notable of which was Crumbs Off The Table, a US R&B Top 10 entry in 1969. Several unsuccessful solo singles followed upon the units demise, but Payne achieved a higher profile upon replacing Jean Terrell in the Supremes. After the break-up of the Supremes, Payne made one unsuccessful album with fellow ex-Supreme Susaye Greene, in 1979, before resuming her own career with the single Incredible. She enjoyed club hits in the early 80s with Im Not In Love and One Night Only, and in 1986 recorded a solo album for the Superstar International Records label, which included the minor R&B hit Incredible (with Phillip Ingram).

just one girl
My copy has an error on side B. The songs are not in order, not to mention the song “Testify” is repeated again causing the song “Hot Flash” not to be included. Major record pressing mistake but hey it’s still a nice record!!! Anyone else notice this or is my copy the only one? Lol

This album features a dance-oriented cover of Fredi Grace & Rhinstone's "Work it out" which, in my opinion, dwarfs the original. Very recommended.
