Veganic Strawberry Cough has been included in our Strongest Strains on Earth compilation (hereafter, The List) for three out of the five years that HIGH TIMES has been running it. In 2012, the VSC maxed out at just over 20% THC. Meanwhile, veganically grown strains (using Kyle Kushman’s Vegamatrix line) have made The List seven times over the course of those five years. This comes as no surprise to anyone who’s ever smoked a pure Chem Dog, which just happened to originate from seeds found in a pound of cannabis grown in Denver in the 1990s (and known simply as the Dog back then). Today, we no longer question the results, but instead celebrate the unknown. And one day, sooner or later, our questions will finally be answered as to just how high this precious plant can take us.

Blowin' in the Wind is Bob Dylan’s first single of his second album The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan. In this song, Dylan poses a list of hypothetical questions; questions people may say cannot be answered, comparing them to the Civil Rights Struggle. An anthem for black people during the 60s, it even inspired Sam Cooke to write A Change is Gonna Come. The melody of Blowin' in the Wind is Dylan’s adaptation of the old Negro spiritual No More Auction Block. Dylan acknowledged the source when he told journalist Marc Rowland: ‘Blowin’ in the Wind' has always been a spiritual. I took it off a song called ‘No More Auction Block’ – that’s a spiritual and ‘Blowin’ in the Wind' follows the same feeling. WP. Bob Dylan claimed that it took him ten minutes to write this song in a small café.

The Drop finds Brian Eno replicating the floating, trancy sound of Neroli, creating a shimmering collection of ambient music. Although The Drop illustrates that ambient doesn't all sound the same - it can be soothing and scary, sometimes both at once - the album doesn't particularly hold the listener's interest, as the shifting electronic soundscapes never reveal any substantial compositions. It's intriguing for a while, but by the time the 74 minutes of The Drop have finished, the album has made little lasting impression.

Seamus, that's the dog, was outside. Well, I was in the kitchen, Seamus, my old hound, was outside. Well, the sun sinks slowly. But my old hound just sat right down and cried.
