Chester Burton Atkins (June 20, 1924 – June 30, 2001), known as "Mr. Guitar" and "The Country Gentleman", was an American musician, occasional vocalist, songwriter, and record producer, who along with Owen Bradley and Bob Ferguson, among others, created the country music style that came to be known as the Nashville sound, which expanded country music's appeal to adult pop music fans. He was primarily known as a guitarist. He also played the mandolin, fiddle, banjo, and ukulele.

Far from wimpy Muzak crap, "Sails" is tasteful and top notch, which one could expect nothing less from this giant of American music. If you enjoy instumental guitar music and don't have this in your collection you're missing out. The first song "Sails" opens with waves crashing on the shore and then every song after just flows together that before you know it, the album is over. It is also a great album to listen to on a Sunday morning with your second cup of coffee or anytime you just want to relax. In all honesty, I can't see how anyone who appreciates good music would not love this album.
