Flyin' High is the second album by the American Southern rock band Blackfoot, released in 1976. All tracks written by Rickey Medlocke and Jakson Spires, except tracks 2, 3 and 6 by Medlocke, Spires and Charlie Hargrett. Rickey Medlocke – lead vocals, guitars. Charlie Hargrett – guitars. Greg T. Walker – bass guitar, keyboards, guitar on "Mother", backing vocals. Jakson Spires – drums, percussion, backing vocals. Suzy Storm, Laura Struzick – backing vocals. Producers: David Hood, Jimmy Johnson.
But in terms of Flyin' High itself, the first of these two factoids addressed the abundance of undercooked, second-class numbers like "Stranger on the Road," "Junkie's Dream," and "Madness," while the second explained a few of the unnaturally "happy" sounding tunes such as opener "Feelin' Good," the urban cowboy anthem "Dancin' Man," and the unfettered country sweetness of "Mother
Over is the sixth studio album by the English singer and songwriter Peter Hammill, released on Charisma Records in April 1977. It was issued for the first time on CD on Virgin Records in the early 1990s, and was reissued again in a remastered version in 2006 with bonus tracks. The album details the break-up of a long-term relationship with a woman known as Alice.
Bubbling Over is the twelfth solo studio album by American singer-songwriter Dolly Parton. It was released on September 10, 1973, by RCA Victor. The album cover photo was shot by Nashville photographer Les Leverett near the fountain at the Country Music Hall of Fame. The album's single, "Traveling Man", was previously recorded by Parton in 1971 for her Coat of Many Colors album.
Like their reunion, Flyin’ the Flannel was a surprising, unlikely album to start off a major label run, but it also condensed all the band’s ecentricities into their most potent dose. For all the hand-wringing artists and fans do (or did) over signing to big labels, some bands thrive with the extra resources, with actual studio time. fIREHOSE was just such a band, and Watt and Hurley, along with singer/guitarist Ed Crawford, honed their funky, oddball college rock into a complex, fiery set. If nothing else, the album makes it clear that the band isn’t retreading the Minutemen’s success
