Mael Mórdha (/ˈmeɪl ˈmɔːrə/; Irish: ) is a doom metal band from Dublin, Ireland. Its name can also be written in traditional Irish typography, as Mael Mórḋa. The band's music melds doom metal with Irish folk music to create what has been referred to as "Gaelic doom metal". Mael Mórdha was formed in January 1998 by Roibéard Ó Bogail (formerly the vocalist of the band Dreamsfear)

Primordial, Mael Mórḋa. 7" Vinyl 1. 1. The Soul Must Sleep (live).

I have crossed the seas, I have left cities behind me, and I have followed the source of rivers towards their source or plunged into forests, always making for other cities. I have had women, I have fought with men ; and I could never turn back any more than a record can spin in reverse. Flying went the Ficheal Board as Mael Mórdha entered a rage At the sons of the Boróimhe for the taunts which they spake About deeds past of which they scarcely knew, Mighty was the fury into which the King flew. At Cluain Tarbh they did assemble and prepared for great slaughter. Flying the banner of the raven black the Lochlannaigh host did attack; Victory prophecised on that day: Good Friday 1014.
