Among the freelancers here, there are some heavy hitters: Ludger Rémy provides the harpsichord continuo, Laurence Dean pitches in the flute part in the Johann Christian Bach sonata, and Alison McGillivray contributes the cello parts

The Chursächsische Capelle Leipzig ( CCL) was founded in the summer of 1994 by members of the Leipzig Gewandhaus and Halle Händel Festival orchestras and freelance musicians. It has given coocerts with such artists as Peter Schreier, Jennifer Smith and Michael Chance. The musicians have set themselves the task of systematically rediscovering and performing unpublished instrumental works of Middle German Baroque music.

The Bach family never left Thuringia until the sons of Sebastian went into a more modern world
