News of the World is the sixth studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on 28 October 1977 by EMI Records in the United Kingdom and by Elektra Records in the United States. News of the World was the band's second album to be recorded at Sarm West and Wessex Studios, London, and engineered by Mike Stone, and was co-produced by the band and Stone.

We Will Rock You (often abbreviated as WWRY) is a jukebox musical, based on the songs of Queen and named after their hit single of the same name. The musical was written by British comedian and author Ben Elton in collaboration with Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor. The story takes place in a tongue-in-cheek dystopian future where originality and individualism are shunned, and a lone "Dreamer" appears who can fulfill a prophecy that will enable the return of rock 'n roll. A number of international productions have followed the original, and We Will Rock You has been seen in Ireland, Australia, Canada, Russia, Spain, Japan, South Africa, Zürich, Vienna, New Zealand, South Korea, Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong. As of July 2009, productions are still active in Great Britain, Italy and Germany.

We Will Rock You" is a song written by Brian May and recorded by Queen for their 1977 album News of the World. Rolling Stone ranked it number 330 of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time" in 2004, and it placed at number 146 on the Songs of the Century list in 2001. In 2009, "We Will Rock You" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

We Will Rock You" was released as a double A-side single with "We Are The Champions. Since the single's release, the band has almost always used "Rock You" and "Champions" as a back-to-back encore, with "Champions" closing the show and segueing into a tape playing Queen's version of "God Save The Queen. In London, a Queen musical called We Will Rock You opened in 2002. The show is about a futuristic world where there are no musical instruments and a lack of creativity, but with the help of Queen's music, a bunch of renegades liberate the planet. It was panned by critics, but became a very popular show. This can be heard on their 1979 Live Killers album, as well as the 1981 Rock Montreal DVD and the 1982 On Fire Live at the Bowl DVD. It was replaced in the setlist as the opener by " One Vision " in 1986.

Recorded live in concert at the Montreal Forum in November 1981 (over two nights), We Will Rock You is an excellent document of latter-day Queen in concert. Originally released in 1984 on the Peppermint label, it was out of print for several years until being reissued by Strand as a budget-priced video in 1992. The set list is basically a carbon copy of the one used for their 1980 tour for their smash The Game album, and is comprised of nearly all their hits up until that point
