Bach, Prokofieff, Tschaikowsky, Sviatoslav Richter, Karel Ancerl, Vaclav Talich ‎– Die Klavierkonzerte N. 3. Satz: Allegro Com Fuoco. Composed By – Johann Sebastian Bach (tracks: A1 to A3), Peter I. Tschaikowsky (tracks: C1 to D2), Serge Prokofieff (tracks: B1 to B3). Conductor – Karel Ančerl (tracks: B1 to D2), Vaclav Talich (tracks: A1 to A3).

Sviatoslav Teofilovich Richter (Russian: Святосла́в Теофи́лович Ри́хтер, tr. Sviatosláv Teofílovich Ríkhter, IPA: ; March 20 1915 – August 1, 1997) was a Soviet pianist of Russian-German origin, who is generally regarded as one of the greatest pianists of the 20th century. He is known for the "depth of his interpretations, his virtuoso technique, and his vast repertoire.

Václav Talich (Czech pronunciation: ; 28 May 1883 – 16 March 1961) was a Czech conductor, violinist and pedagogue. Born in Kroměříž, Moravia, he started his musical career in a student orchestra in Klatovy.

Karel Ančerl (11 April 1908 – 3 July 1973) was a Czechoslovak conductor, renowned especially for his performances of contemporary music and for his interpretations of music by Czech composers. Ančerl was born into a prosperous Jewish family in the village of Tučapy in southern Bohemia. After graduating from the Prague Conservatory, he pursued his conducting studies under Hermann Scherchen and Václav Talich.

On the other hand, Richter benefits greatly in the 1958 recording from having the iron-handed Mravinsky on the podium. Karel Ancerl and the Czech Philharmonic too willingly defer to Richter, and Mravinsky does a better job of holding soloist and orchestra together. Karajan also holds things together, except that Richter unfortunately seems at times to be struggling against the conductor's tight-fisted control. Of the three versions, this reissue would rank second.

Sviatoslav Richter (piano), Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, Prague Symphony Orchestra, Karel Ancerl, Václav Talich. In 1950 Prague was the destination of the first-ever foreign trip of the then 35-year-old Russian genius pianist Sviatoslav Richter. He would subsequently visit the city on several more occasions. The recordings on this CD were made at the Rudolfinum within two weeks at the end of May and the beginning of June 1954. Richter is accompanied by the two finest Czech orchestras, conducted by two true legends – Václav Talich (nearing the end of his career) and Karel Ancerl (at the beginning of his tenure in the post of principal conductor of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra).
