Quotes Authors O Omar N. Bradley Amateurs talk strategy. Professionals talk logistics. Amateurs talk strategy.
The quote is usually "amateurs talk tactics, professionals study logistics". Which is true (except when tactics are the main barrier to operations). Strategy is much larger than logistics and encompasses the goals of the war, the means of waging it in all areas (not just combat), and the aftermath. Everyone stalks about strategy but with different levels of quality. The SPC in the back of the truck mouthing off on how he'd terrify the enemy if he was in charge is both an amateur and not talking serious strategy
Professionals talk logistics. That well-worn saying, sometimes attributed to Gen. Omar Bradley, contains an obvious element of wisdom. Modern militaries cannot fight without a lengthy supply chain, and the success or failure of major operations can turn on the work of anonymous logisticians. The real take-away is the impact of Little America on the locals.

Biography by Jason Ankeny. They were '80s synth-poppers who got more musically ambitious on each successive album.
Talk is the fourteenth studio album by the English progressive rock band Yes, released on 21 March 1994 by Victory Music. Recording began in late 1992 with the line-up of Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin, Chris Squire, Alan White and Tony Kaye. Keyboardist Rick Wakeman was to be involved in the project before contractual problems led to his withdrawal. The album was recorded onto hard disk at Rabin's home studio using an early version of the digital audio workstation software Digital Performer.
