If I had to rank Mariah’s objectively best songs based on creativity, impact and quality (rather than my own personal favourites), this would be an attempt: Fantasy (Bad Boy Remix) - probably the most influential song of the 90s in kickstarting the fusion of R&B, Pop and Hip-Hop. Butterfly - this song is very personal to Mariah and can be seen as a turning point in her career, much like the album of the same name. The lyrics are especially beautiful and so are Mariah’s stunning vocals, especially in the climax of the song.
