Change is the fourth album by The Dismemberment Plan. It was released on October 23, 2001 on DeSoto Records. It was recorded by J. Robbins at Inner Ear Studios in Arlington, Virginia and it was mixed by Chad Clark. Compared to The Dismemberment Plan's previous album Emergency & I, Change is more somber musically, with more introspective lyrics.

It's one of the punchier titles around, and happily the Dismemberment Plan live up to it on their full debut album. Carrying over a new version of "Wouldn't You Like to Know" (a track from "Can We Be Mature?," their first single), the Plan - here with original drummer Steve Cummings - are a fairly thrash-crazed example of what the term "emo" used to mean. There aren't any apologetic weepouts, just calmer moments amidst pretty explosive performances.

In early '95, well, we got the dough so we could diversify Had a lot of money up in bioweapons which has low liquidity Sold a lot of Krugerrands and rubles to a bunch of really weird Swiss guys And we were rockin'. Recorded live at the Crocodile Cafe, Seattle, WA, USA, 16.02.2000.

Comes in a double jewel case with black tray, with full colour cover sleeve.

Copies of these were being sold outside the Neptune Theatre in Seattle during the December 2013 Dismemberment Plan concert. Although sold as official band merchandise, i presume this to be a bootleg release.

Anyway, the recordings are very enjoyable, excellent soundboard quality, nice!
