Frank Sinatra: In Concert at the Royal Festival Hall was an CBS musical television special starring Frank Sinatra broadcast on February 4, 1971, of a concert given by Sinatra at London's Royal Festival Hall on November 16, 1970. The special was directed by Bill Miller, and produced by Harold Davison. Sinatra was introduced on stage by Grace Kelly. Kelly had starred alongside Sinatra in the 1956 film High Society, the last film she made before her marriage to Rainier III, Prince of Monaco.

Sinatra closed the Royal Festival Hall concert with ‘My Way’, a show-stopping anthem he recorded in the studio only two years earlier, on 30 December 1968, but which quickly became a key part of his repertoire. Thereafter, it was often used as the curtain-closer of his live shows. By the time that Frank Sinatra: In Concert At The Royal Festival Hall had aired on television, on 4 February 1971, his appearance at the prestigious London venue the previous November had already helped to raise over £100,000 for the United World Colleges Fund

Frank Sinatra proved he was musical royalty when, in 1962, he performed at London’s Royal Festival Hall before an audience of British dignitaries. Sinatra stayed in London for two more concerts that month (at the Odeon on Leicester Square and the Gaumont in Hammersmith), but the prestigious Royal Festival Hall date remains one of his most legendary

At The Royal Festival Hall’ was filmed at London’s famous venue on November 16, 1970. The concert was introduced by HSH Princess Grace of Monaco, the former Grace Kelly, who had co-starred with Sinatra in the film High Society. Charged with the electricity of a heavyweight prizefight, The Main Event was filmed live at Madison Square Garden, a venue usually reserved for sporting events and rock 'n' roll concerts.
