Bitches Brew is a studio double album by American jazz musician, composer, and bandleader Miles Davis, released on March 30, 1970 on Columbia Records. It marked his continuing experimentation with electric instruments that he had previously featured on the critically acclaimed In a Silent Way (1969). With these instruments, such as the electric piano and guitar, Davis rejected traditional jazz rhythms in favor of loose, rock-influenced arrangements based on improvisation.

Thought by many to be among the most revolutionary albums in jazz history, Miles Davis' Bitches Brew solidified the genre known as jazz-rock fusion. The original double LP included only six cuts and featured up to 12 musicians at any given time, some of whom were already established while others would become high-profile players later, Joe Zawinul, Wayne Shorter, Airto, John McLaughlin, Chick Corea, Jack DeJohnette, Dave Holland, Don Alias, Bennie Maupin, Larry Young, and Lenny White among them.

Miles Davis made it his own, creating pieces over 20 minutes long that were built on a few fragments he offered to the musicians in his new quintet. Joining this group were several invited artists whose role was to enlarge the rhythm section and to help rein in the members of the ensemble who were known to venture toward the edge of chaos during their concerts

Bitches Brew is a studio double album by jazz musician Miles Davis, released in April 1970 on Columbia Records. The album continued his experimentation with electric instruments previously featured on his critically acclaimed In a Silent Way album. With the use of these instruments, such as the electric piano and guitar, Davis rejected traditional jazz rhythms in favor of a looser, rock-influenced improvisational style. Bitches Brew was Davis's first gold record, selling more than half a million copies.

Originally released in 1970 as GP 26 and Columbia '360 sound two-eye' labels.

This is the Terre Haute pressing variation of the reissue. It was likely released between the late 1970s and 1980s, and can be identified by the catalog number, the typeface on the labels, and the the runout grooves.

There is another reissue that lacks the Customatrix "o" stamp in the side B runout groove, but otherwise is indistinguishable.
