The singer Plastic Bertrand, pseudonym for Roger Jouret (Brussels, 24 February 1954) is one of the best selling Belgian artists. He is currently number 5 of top selling plates in Belgium. Plastic Bertrand broke in 1977 by Ça plane pour moi with the monster hit (I traffic in higher realms). In the Dutch popprogramma he performed Toppop jumping on atrampoline.

Jouret began his musical career as a drummer for the Belgian punk trio Hubble Bubble, which recorded one unsuccessful album. Plastic bertrand - CA Plane pour moi (1978). This album is sure to make any frown turn upside-down. Most everybody I mention Plastic Bertrand to have no idea who I’m talking about, even when I say You remember, from that scene in ‘National Lampoon’s European Vacation’, when they’re running through the Louvre? You know - that song that’s playin. But everyone, once they’ve heard the title track, picks up on it pretty quickly.

Plastic Bertrand emerged as the singer, writer and drum player for his band Hubble Bubble and in 1978 the band released their first album which was titled ‘Hubble Bubble’. However, the band did not stay together for long as the band members decided to go on their separate ways following the death of the bass guitarist in an accident. Following his success as solo artist, Plastic Bertrand’s popularity soared and he appeared on several popular television programmes like ‘Jackpot’, ‘Supercool’ and ‘Destination Noel’ on French television
