To date, she has recorded thirteen folk albums, and has toured extensively throughout the United States. Wheeler was born in Timonium, Maryland, where she attended Dulaney High School. She performed at clubs in the Washington, . She moved to Rhode Island in 1976, where she played at various clubs in the New England area.

I really like Cheryl, altho I am not a fan of the style of much of this album ... until we get to "Arrow", which is a song which is devastatingly beautiful. An all-time favorite, perfect song!
