Rock 'n' Roll Party (Honoring Les Paul) is a live album by Jeff Beck, recorded as a tribute album to the late guitarist Les Paul. The album is recorded at the Iridium Jazz Club in New York City where Les Paul played almost every week until his death in August 2009. It was recorded on 9 June 2010, which would have been Les Paul's 95th birthday. The songs played were popular hits from the 1950s and 1960s, including many songs Les Paul played himself

The first and most famous Black Sabbath Best o. .album, We Sold Our Souls To Rock and Roll was a cash-in greatest hits album produced by NEMS, when the band signed with the label for the release of their sixth album Sabotage. The album was compiled without the band’s knowledge or even consent, as the members of Black Sabbath did not even know it’s existence until fans started showing up at concerts asking the band to autograph the vinyl copies of the album.

The story behind Black Sabbath's masterpiece, a tale of writer's block and ghostly visits. In the Brian Ives-penned essay A Hard Road 1973-1978, from Sabbath’s 2004 Black Box multi-disc set, bassist Geezer Butler recalls how he and the band felt when Iommi presented the Sabbath Bloody Sabbath riff to them: When Tony came up with the riff to Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, it was almost like seeing your first child being born. It was the end of our musical drought, the beginning of our new direction, an affirmation of life. It meant the band had a present – and a future – again. As with the majority of Sabbath’s early material, Butler was the song’s lyricist

Although the chaotic sessions that spawned this album have passed into rock & roll legend and the recording's very genesis (as an out-of-court settlement between John Lennon and an aggrieved publisher) has often caused it to be slighted by many of the singer's biographers, Rock 'n' Roll, in fact, stands as a peak in his post-Imagine catalog: an album
