SELDOM HEARD ARE the artists who can create a tapestry of sound that seeds and evolves a listener's unharnessed emotions into such a satisfying, multi-dimensional fold. Trans Am's second release is a transient caravan ride thru space and time both relaxing and disturbing (The record is supplied with a sticker warning: 'There is nothing wrong. All distortions are fully intentional'). This is evidenced at the end of "Rough Justice" and in "Zero Tolerance" as well as various other places in clip doses. It has it's atmospheric place and does not warrant skipping the songs or ending the listening pleasure. That can probably be accredited to the engineering work of John McEntire. Song titles that perfectly fit the musical mood created - merging the rock ambient borders into a tighter cluster.
