Bitterblue is the eighth studio album by Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler. It was released on 11 November 1991, through Hansa Records. Bitterblue is a pop rock album, described by Dieter Bohlen as "more commercial" than her previous albums. Bohlen began working with Tyler in early 1991, writing and producing multiple songs for the album. Bitterblue also features compositions from Albert Hammond, Nik Kershaw and Giorgio Moroder.

The first of Bonnie Tyler's albums to not be released in America, Bitterblue kicks off with a solid opening title track before veering through a pleasant collection of pop tunes sung with Tyler's inimitable voice. Tyler has replaced Jim Steinman and Desmond Child with disco impresario Giorgio Moroder - which makes an interesting pairing - but one should not expect anything like Donna Summer or the other Casablanca artists with whom Moroder famously worked in the 1970s. Instead, he has given Tyler's work a contemporary sheen that frames her vocals within the songs.

Bitterblue" is a song recorded by Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler for her eighth studio album of the same name (1991). It was released in November 1991 by Hansa Records. The song was a European hit, missing the number one spot in Norway to Michael Jackson's song "Black or White". The song was written and produced by Dieter Bohlen.

The discography of Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler consists of 17 studio albums, 2 live albums, 4 extended plays, 79 singles, and several compilation albums. After signing to RCA Records, Tyler's first single "My! My! Honeycomb" was released in 1976. Her first charting single was "Lost in France", which reached the Top 10 in the UK. Her most successful single with RCA was "It's a Heartache", which became her first hit in America. The song's sales are in excess of 6 million.

Several producers back Miss Tyler's album and proves beyond doubt she has a sound and voice without totally relying on Jim Steinman. Since she was dissed by the US following the failure of Secret Dreams And Forbidden Fire, she went back to the UK, enlisting some ace songwriters, including Diane Warren and Holly Knight.
