The title, though, isn't 100 percent accurate; half a dozen tracks were recorded shortly after Green left the band, and since Green is still listed as part of the lineup for all but one of these in the liner notes, Castle Communications either has the dates or personnel wrong. Some of Green's most well-known compositions from the era are here ("Man of the World," "Albatross," "Rattlesnake Shake," and "Oh Well"), and in the usual BBC tradition, these have a sparer and rougher feel than the studio versions, though they don't either match or redefine them.

Live at the BBC. Peter Green Fleetwood Mac Format: DVD Audio. a. It's a Live album. b. Danny Kirwan is featured on several more cuts than usual, and in some unique ways. Particularly noteworthy are When I See My Baby, Blues With A Feeling (contains some very powerful lead playing from Danny), Early Morning Come (extremely rare solo acoustic guitar), and nice versions of some of his standards (Although the Sun is Shining, Like Crying Like Dying). Danny brought a nice sensitivity and different musical flavor to the band. There is also a magnificent version of Only You, which epitomizes the depth and power of Fleetwood Mac's double guitars.

The story of Fleetwood Mac is one of endless changes in style and occupation. They were in the 1960s, led by Peter Green and Mick Fleetwood, one of the most original British blues bands. Later they grew out to suppliers of a polished, masterly LA sound, with which they conquered the American airwaves in the 1970s. Their most successful album, Rumours from 1977 – that was made by the best known occupation of the Group: Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks – is one of the best-selling albums of all time. Although they never really failed to match that success, the band during the three decades that followed on irregular basis and plates, in different configurations.
