Pink Floyd U. K. LP Discography. The Piper at the Gates of Dawn. Columbia Records 1st issue mono. Beginning with the release of the Pink Floyd album, Ummagumma in late 1969, Pink Floyd albums were released on Harvest Records with yellow, green Harvest Record labels. they look green to me, but some people call them yellow). In late 1971, Harvest Records added a small EMI logo in a rectangular box above the word Harvest on the left side of the label.

A Saucerful of Secrets is an uneven album that could glibly be called Pink Floyd's sophomore jinx, though it's a bit more complicated than that. The problems behind the band's second outing can be summed up in two words: Syd Barrett. Or rather, the absence thereof. All in all, A Saucerful of Secrets is regarded by many folks as a weaker sophomore effort, although I feel that this is a pretty important album that demonstrates the direction the band would head in. Highly recommended along with Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967); More (1969); Ummagumma (1969); Atom Heart Mother (1970); and Meddle (1971).

A Tree Full Of Secrets Volume 8 David Gilmour And Roger Waters Rarities (Disc 2). 2003. Dark Side of Pink Floyd - Non Album Songs. Plays Pink Floyd The Wall.

A Saucerful of Secrets is the second studio album by the English rock band Pink Floyd, released on 29 June 1968 by EMI Columbia in the United Kingdom (following adverts in Melody Maker giving that date) and released on 27 July 1968 in the United States by Tower Records. The album was recorded before and after Syd Barrett's departure from the group. With Barrett's behaviour becoming increasingly unpredictable, David Gilmour was recruited to compliment Barrett, and eventually to replace him.

Album - The Wall Years - 1979. Mother do you think they'll drop the bomb? Mother do you think they'll like this song? Mother do you think they'll try to break my balls? Mother should I build the wall? Mother should I run for president? Mother should I trust the government? Mother will they put me in the firing line?

The album's title [Ummagumma] supposedly comes from a Cambridge slang word for sex, commonly used by one of Pink Floyd's friends and occasional roadie, Iain ‛‛Imo’’ Moore who would joke ‘Am I gunna have sex tonight?!’
However, some band members have since stated that the word was ‛‛totally made up and means nothing at all’’.
In footage of the band rehearsing for a Royal Albert Hall appearance in 1969, one of the band members can be heard, off camera, quietly chanting the word ‛‛ummagumma’’.

CD label features a full, blank (except this release's title "Mothers Secrets") replica of the Harvest logo, but does not claim to BE on Harvest Records.

Using SonicVisualizer or other audio software it can be seen that this release is sourced from mp3 files (or at least the copy I have). Still sounds nice, though.
