The album was released shortly after Parton joined Wagoner's band and became a regular on his weekly television show, The Porter Wagoner Show, and signed with RCA. The album was reissued on CD in 1995 as 2Gether on 1 with Parton's album, Just Because I'm a Woman. It was released as a digital download on March 3, 2017.
