Chant is an album of Gregorian chant, performed by the Benedictine Monks of Santo Domingo de Silos in Spain. The music did not sell significantly until it was re-released by Angel in 1994 when it was strongly marketed as an antidote to the stress of modern life. Chant is the best-selling album of Gregorian chant ever released.

Honestly though, most won't need more than one album of chant in their library. I love Gregorian chan. eally, I just prefer it in smaller doses. When this album came out I couldn't wait to own a copy, but after about 1-2 listens I put it away. Back in the 90's Enigma had just come out with their own version of dance floor chant intertwined with overt sexuality and the combination was amazingly powerful.
