The song quickly became a concert staple for the group and it has been covered by numerous artists.

I first heard it on their "Morrison Hotel" album in 1970 when I came home from the Army and Vietnam. In 'Nam, The Doors were very popular & their songs were played on AFVN radio there. I think I heard "Roadhouse Blues" for the first time in 1970 on an "underground FM" radio station out of Kansas City.
