Grace Jones chronology. Private Life: The Compass Point Sessions (1998). The Universal Masters Collection (2003). The Grace Jones Story (2006). 2006 Colour Collection re-release. With the exception of "La Vie en rose" from the 1977 album Portfolio, the 13-track package focuses on material from Jones' Compass Point trilogy: Warm Leatherette (1980), Nightclubbing (1981), and Living My Life (1982) The album was later re-released a number of times by Universal with the same track listing, but alternate covers and new titles. 2005 saw the release of Best 1200 on the Japanese market
Disco is a boxed set of three Grace Jones's albums released in 2015. The set contains Portfolio (1977), Fame (1978), and Muse (1979), all of which were recorded at Philadelphia's Sigma Sound with disco pioneer Tom Moulton as producer, in their entirety. The albums were remastered and each of the three CDs included seven bonus tracks while the vinyl box maintains the original track listings and offers a fourth record, that collects mainly long versions of the 45s from this era.
Grace Jones' The Collection, released in 2004 by the Spectrum offshoot of Universal . found enough room for a demo of "Ring of Fire" (a Johnny Cash cover) but decided not to include "Pull Up to the Bumper," one of the singer's biggest singles (if not the biggest). It's one of few flaws, but it is a massive flaw, and it makes the disc a wasted opportunity.

Colour and warmth came into your world, It makes me crazy, When you don't get what you want, You scream and you shout, You're still a baby. Don't give me a line, Keep the lid on the bottle this time, I'm still a lady, I won't do it tonight, I won't do it tonight, No way baby. I won't give in and I won't feel guilty.
This is mostly a collection of Grace Jones' avant-garde explorations of the 1980s. Her version of The Normal's Warm Leatherette is still ominous and impressive, whilst her cover of The Pretenders Private Life is interesting. Feel Up is a buoyant exploration of jungle rhythms and soulful vocals, whilst The Hunter Gets Captured By The Game is a lovely ballad.
