Dark Ambient from Bucharest, Romania. 2018 will be gone soon. We are grateful for finally releasing 'Yume', and I hope more people will enjoy it in the future. A second album will be out there shortly, hopefully, and I can safely say it will be darker and more secluded. 2018 was a rich year, so there will be one or two side-projects coming in the future, and maybe work has started on a third album, but who knows. We hope you have a meaningful year's end celebration, and many good things will cross your path.

Artist: Haft Teppeh Album: Yume Release date: 19 March 2018 Label: Autarkeia. org or digitally on the Haft Teppeh bandcamp page. An album like this really deserves an expanded release, in CD or vinyl, and hopefully we will see that. But, regardless I must assume they are already hard at work on whatever might come next. With a debut like this one, I really can’t wait.

Haft Tappeh is believed to be the location of an ancient city that dates all the way back to 1500BC. From time to time known as Kabnak, it is assumed to have been a significant political center all through the time in power of the Elamite king Tepti-Ahar. The Elamites were a pre-Iranic development state located in the far west of current Iran. It first appeared in about 2700BC, before vanishing in 539BC. A huge tomb was constructed in the city to house the king and his family after he perished.

The latest album from Helios, Yume takes its title from the Japanese word for dream and delivers an otherworldly ambient/electronic hybrid that’s cinematic in scope yet intimate in emotion. In making the album, umentalist Keith Kenniff (the sole artist behind Helios) has created a warm sonic tapestry from luminous guitar lines, elegant piano work, ingeniously crafted rhythms, and lo-fi electronic elements
