Jimmie Walker enjoyed a great deal of visibility in the mid- to late '70s, when he was famous for his portrayal of . Evans on the CBS sitcom Good Times. It was in 1975 that Buddah released Dyn-O-Mite, Walker's first standup comedy album. Recorded live at the Cellar Door in Washington, . this vinyl LP underscores Walker's appreciation of Richard Pryor (who was huge at the time). Unlike Pryor, Walker doesn't get into sexually explicit material or inundate listeners with profanity. But like Pryor, he has a lot of fun confronting racial stereotypes
