Album The Very Best Of Ben E. King. This Magic Moment Lyrics. This magic moment So different and so new Was like any other Until I kissed you And then it happened It took me by surprise I knew that you felt it too By the look in your eyes. Sweeter than wine Softer than the summer night Everything I want I have Whenever I hold you tight. This magic moment While your lips are close to mine Will last forever Forever til the end of time. Oh Oh Mm. Sweeter than wine Softer than the summer night Everything I want I have.

Magic Moments" is a popular song with music by Burt Bacharach and lyrics by Hal David, one of the first compositions by that duo. The song was published in 1957. The biggest hit version of the song was recorded by Perry Como and released by RCA Victor in December 1957, becoming a hit early in 1958. The record was produced by Joe Reisman. The peak position in the United States is hard to track precisely, due to the multiple charts used in Billboard magazine.

Although this album says the Drifters greatests hits, these are by far not the versions we ( I ) know of these songs. It sounds as if some mediocre cover band was doing them. Hard to know with the drifters as they had a revolving door for band members but, if it is truly one of their incarnations that recorded these, it was not the best. What also makes me suspicious is thar it does not sound like a greatest hits with a "different sound" depending on the album they came from. It sounds like they were all recorded by the same guys in one sesson. If anyone has the same impression let me know.
