This May, Morrissey will release a new studio album, California Son, which sees him covering a diverse variety of tracks from the 1960s and 1970s, including some originally recorded by Bob Dylan and Roy Orbison. The album also features a number of collaborations. It Over features American singer LP and further additional vocals on the album come from Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong (on Laura Nyro track ‘Wedding Bell Blues’), and Ed Droost, Ariel Engle, Sameer Gadhia, Lydia Night. I’ve bought every Morrissey album up until now, and while his politics have gotten uncomfortable to say the least the thing that’s making me end my Moz purchasing is him doing a duet with that guy from Green Day. That’s an absolute non-starter for me. Reply. Jeb says: May 17, 2019 at 20:59.

California Son is the twelfth solo studio album by English singer Morrissey. Released on 24 May 2019 on the singer's label étienne and licensed on BMG, the album is a collection of cover versions. The single "Wedding Bell Blues", initially written and sung by Laura Nyro in 1966, featured Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day on backing vocals. Recorded in 2018, the album was produced by Joe Chiccarelli, a frequent collaborator of Morrissey.

Some Say I Got Devil" official video - Morrissey, YouTube. Speaking exclusively to Kipper Central, rock legend Morrissey gave his thoughts on freedom of speech, Islam, Halal meat and many other controversial and highly-suppressed topics, encouraging his fans not to be afraid of being called ‘racist’ for speaking out. In a climate of increasing political censorship and de-platforming, it is incredibly risky for any musician to defend freedom of speech, and even more risky to criticise Islam and the media. But in this exclusive interview with Kipper Central, former Smiths frontman Morrissey has done just that.

What an enviable position in which Steven Patrick Morrissey finds himself. It is, I dare say, quite privileged, but we’ll get back to that. He is a spokesman for Morrissey alone: not for a bygone era of guitar-spined indie pop; not for the Cool Britannia movement that emerged, like a cicada swarm, from Morrissey’s fixation on the England of his youth. He essentially walked away from the mysterious destruction of his creative partnership with Johnny Marr with nary a speck on his blouse
