The Fall released a large number of recordings following their inception in 1976, often inviting use of the tag 'prolific'. Live in London 1980 (1982) UK Indie A Part of America Therein, 1981 (1982) UK Indie Fall in a Hole (1983) NZ #47.

Confrontational Energetic Passionate Playful Raucous Rousing Tense/Anxious. A Past Gone Mad: The Best of 1990-2000. However, A Past Gone Mad does prove that the Fall did manage to scrape up a fairly solid CD's worth of tunes in the '90s. Songs like the atypically poppy dance track "Touch Sensitive" and the ranting "Hey Student" may not be up to the level of classics like "Mere Pseud Mag Ed" and "Kicker Conspiracy," but they're certainly the best the Fall had to offer, and the disc is surprisingly free of filler. Not the place to start cold, then, but a nice summation of a less than stellar period in the Fall's history.

As The Fall release a singles box set, Getintothis‘ Banjo prepares for this feast by listening to every studio album by The Fall, yes every one, and then ranking them from best to worst. The Fall have become a British institution. By dint of their sheer longevity and industry, they have become well respected, feted and probably the country’s longest lasting punk/post punk band. None of which would have been particularly apparent when they first came to our attention as awkward Mancs back in the heady days of 1977

The Fall is a reward for the members of Sub-Division fan club and should be treated like any other fan club release. The record shows Albarn trying out new ideas wherever they may take him. This leads to a lot of filler but also to some beautiful moments that would fit on any of the past three Gorillaz releases. Though the focus of the news leading up to this album has been the iPad, it’s the tracks that move in a more organic direction that work best. Revolving Doors is definitely a clear highlight, landing on the familiar ground of a smoothly upbeat, acoustic guitar and a nice bass beat  . The Fall isn’t by any means perfect. It’s probably the weakest work Gorillaz has released to date. But as a gift for the fans, it’s definitely worth checking out.

Released November 21, 2014. As one of Florida rapper, XXXTENTACION’s earlier EPs, The Fall exemplifies some of X’s more rarer tracks. It consists of only five songs and showcases some of his versatility, ranging from somber songs such as Never and The Fall to more ominous, boom-bap ones like FuckABitchFace and White Girl.
