Absolutely ESSENTIAL Anthology of this project by Geoffroy D. [Dernière Volonté, Position Parallèle] and Léonce B. [I-C-K]. Blasterkorps stand for an abyss of analog minimal Synth, Electro, Industrial and Power Electronics. For the first and last time on 2 CDs: The complete anthology by this influential project, including many previously unreleased tracks. The project was stopped in 2002 and "Nos Années Mortes (Our dead Years)" stands out as an epic gravestone for Blasterkorps! “In its brief existence, Blasterkorps was a duo whose sole purpose was to make “minimal wave noise” with basic objects. We played in the strictest of anonymity for five years, between 1997 and 2002. We actually split the band up after every session, Blasterkorps never really existed. During this time of uncertainty, we painstakingly came out with three release, one on tape, four tracks on a 7" EP and finally six tracks on a 10" Vinyl. We've never given an interview nor played a single concert, there are few pictures of us and yet we were there...an invisible band. In its last year of its existence the monster was almost saved, all in vain as the die had been cast, at least I think so… This is our story, or at least what is left of it. "Geoffroy D (Dernière Volonté, Position Parallèle, Blasterkorps).

Useful info, thanx! I’d just like to add [1] that this double-CD collection has an exceptionally great flow. Despite including tracks from various recording sessions (and in different substyles), it doesn’t sound like a mish-mash at all, but really as an actual full-fledged album. That’s probably due to the well-considered track order and the worthy mastering job. Furthermore [2], I wouldn't call it a “complete anthology”, as sadly it doesn’t contain most tracks of the eponymous 1997 tape Blasterkorps - Blasterkorps. Hopefully, that one will see some sort of re-release too, one day. Fingers crossed.
