Absolutely Free is the second studio album by the American rock band the Mothers of Invention, led by Frank Zappa, released in 1967. Absolutely Free is, again, a display of complex musical composition with political and social satire. The band had been augmented since Freak Out! by the addition of woodwinds player Bunk Gardner, keyboardist Don Preston, rhythm guitarist Jim Fielder and drummer Billy Mundi.

During his lifetime, Zappa released 62 albums. Since 1994, the Zappa Family Trust has released 50 posthumous albums, making a total of 112 albums. The current distributor of Zappa's recorded output is Universal Music Enterprises. A list of albums of Zappa's music by other artists is also included. Memories of El Monte" (1963, The Penguins, Original Sound).

The Mothers of Invention were an American rock band from California. Formed in 1964, their work is marked by the use of sonic experimentation, innovative album art, and elaborate live shows. Originally an R&B band called the Soul Giants, the band's first lineup included Ray Collins, David Coronado, Ray Hunt, Roy Estrada and Jimmy Carl Black. Frank Zappa was asked to take over as the guitarist following a fight between Collins and Coronado, the band's original saxophonist/leader.

you’re tryin’ to wreck my life i know you’re tryin’ to wreck my life i know you’re tryin’ to wreck my life and all i wanted was a wife i know you’re tryin’ to wreck my life. now what you tryin’ to do? now what you tryin’ to do? now what you tryin’ to do? i been true to you now what you tryin’ to do? why don’tcha do me right? why don’tcha do me right? why don’tcha do me right? you got me pulled up tight why don’tcha do me right? (but baby, i think i love you but baby, i think i love you)

Why Don'tcha Do Me Right" is the other song that was not on the original recording. Some good guitar on this one. The last half of the record is not as worthy as the first half in my opinion. The second album from Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention was Absolutely Free. This is an even greater album than their debut Freak Out ! Which I think is an excellent album.

Compositionally, though, the music reveals itself as exceptionally strong, and Zappa's politics and satirical instinct have rarely been so focused and relevant, making We're Only in It for the Money quite probably his greatest achievement.
