little :) Poco a poco means little by little also. The literal translation of "Poco a poco" is "Little by little". The expression is used to prompt someone to be patient and conscious of his/her limitations when pursuing some ambitious goal. in my music, it's normally like molto rit. or molto dec. It means a big decrescendo, or a big ritard. I'd say the opposite of this could be poco a poco which means little by little.
